The gear was damaged due to deterioration.
Backman products at this time had the wheel axle as a plastic part on the gear side.
Since it is a plug-in style, over time it will become like the photo.
It will break.
It's fine if it's just a crack, but in reality, the spacing between the gear teeth changes, causing abnormal noises and the gears becoming jammed, making it impossible to drive.
When I contacted the manufacturer, they said, ``Repair parts are no longer available.''
That's what I said (tears), but when I compared it with various parts of other vehicles,
I found something with almost the same shape. Parts from Bachmann
I ordered it and tried replacing it.
For the time being, the jamming is gone and the 4 retro cars are safely back on track.
